Or maybe a t-shirt from a band that's no longer popular because a friend gave it to you, and now it reminds you of them? Maybe it was a gift from your great aunt on your wedding day, or the uniforms and shirts from your high school sports team?
You keep that piece of clothing as a reminder of how special that moment really was. But then, it starts collecting dust in the back of your closet.
